I am a member of the percussion ensemble and voice *CANTOTUMBAO* as a singer an songwriter, in NOVACUSTICA as a singer of boleros, jazz, blues, bossa, and i also participate in musical entertainment for children * TUM-TUM stories, chants and drums of the heart.
I am a music children's teacher in elementry schools with limited resources and soon i'll lead *CUICACALLI * (nahuatl) The House of Singing, working with CREA CULTURA's CHILDREN CHOIR in Mexicali. My goal as a teacher is to show the children a musical tour to love, sensitibity and awareness to eliminate violence in all its forms .... I love my mission and my job!
My husband Antonio Almanza percussionist and I are working hard to promote the third root of Mexico, the AFRICAN ROOT through the Afro-Latin percussion ensembles where we participate, in musical concerts and teaching, as well as in the study of the rhythms and African songs, in the construction of drums and soon in the creation of an african dance and percussion ensemble!
